The Festival of Trees event benefits Primary Children's Medical Center every holiday season by selling beautifully donated and decorated Christmas trees and decor. Last year, I (Christine), with the help of my husband (Bryan = money) and sister (Becca = decorating sense) donated my first tree to the festival in honor of my girls (Isabel & Anna Petra) who have been such a special blessing in out lives. The tree was decorated with a touch of whimsy in non-traditional colors of pink, aqua, and yellows. It was a success - our tree sold!
For Festival 2008, Bryan and I will be donating another decorated tree, this time in memory of Grace Romero. The tree is titled 'Remembering Grace' and will be decorated with her in mind. Grace loved the holidays, and always designed a beautifully flawless tree that was a pleasure to look at - and we hope to recreate a tree that resembles her 'classic' tree design.
